15 | Enhance the presentation skills of your mentees

From the beginning, possibly due to my interest in good teaching I insisted that much effort went into training for oral presentations. Good readable slides, logical presentation and clear speaking. Our honours course had sessions on how to present. This was often embarrassing in that the standard of honours seminars and graduate student presentation was way better than the presentations of senior staff members the students experienced at conferences.
